YOUTH LEADERSHIP OKLAHOMA
Youth Leadership Oklahoma (YLOK) is dedicated to shaping the next generation of leaders by immersing high school students in a transformative, week-long journey across Oklahoma! Through hands-on experiences, in-depth discussions, and meaningful connections with other students from across the state, YLOK empowers young leaders with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within our state. YLOK inspires students to envision a future in Oklahoma—one where they contribute, innovate, and lead.

Class 25 Reflections

“YLOK helped me realize that my purpose is within the state of Oklahoma. The week opened my eyes to the world of possibilities our state can offer if we continue to invest in it. I can confidently say Oklahoma might be my home for a little longer than I intended, and I'm okay with that! ”
Tylor Aary
Miami High School

“I would describe my experience as life-changing. I have learned so much, made professional and friendly connections that will last a lifetime. I also have become more interested in aspects of our state that, prior to this program, I had little to no knowledge or interest in.”
Kensli Shaffer
Laverne High School

“It was amazing because I haven't really had the opportunity to meet people around the state, and understand how lucky I have it. I got to learns o much more about the state I live in, which makes me even more grateful to live here. This trip has made me feel so alive and excited to meet new people now.”
Micah Brown
Heritage Hall
“My YLOK experience has been fantastic and unlike anything I have ever done before. I've become much more informed on issues within our state, as well as different professions. I've met great people, and my leadership has grown in a short amount of time. I am grateful for this experience.”
