Youth Leadership Oklahoma Class 26

This summer, 52 exceptional rising high school seniors from across Oklahoma embarked on an unforgettable leadership journey as members of Youth Leadership Oklahoma (YLOK) Class 26 from May 31 to June 5.
Over six days, students traveled 735 miles across the state, experiencing Oklahoma through the eyes of its leaders, innovators, educators, public servants, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. From personal leadership styles to team-building adventures, learning about the nonprofit sector, criminal justice and the judiciary system, animal welfare, military issues, travel sovereignty, public private partnerships, the arts, tourism, exploring the rich history of the Greenwood District and the Chickasaw Cultural Center, and a deep-dive into agriculture, energy, health care, higher education and the CareerTech system-- students gained firsthand insight into the people and industries that shape Oklahoma's future. The week concluded with a mock legislative session and graduation at the Oklahoma History Center, celebrating the friendships, growth, and leadership skills developed throughout the program.
YLOK continues to bring together some of Oklahoma's brightest young leaders, equipping them with a deeper understanding of our state's opportunities and challenges while inspiring them to lead with integrity, curiosity, and service. We are proud of Class 26 and look forward to watching the incredible impact they will make in their schools, communities, and beyond.
