Oklahoma has many treasures and the FAA’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) is a crown jewel! Whether it’s training, I.T. and financial services, maintenance and support, human factors and medical research, or flight inspections… there’s a lot going on at the MMAC. Join us for an insider perspective of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center here in Oklahoma City which plays a crucial role in protecting and maintaining our National Airspace System. Attendees will learn and see that this facility touches on every aspect of safe flight from registering every airplane in the U.S., training every air traffic controller in the U.S. as well as dozens of foreign countries, repairing and maintaining the crucial navigational equipment at every airport, to conducting aeromedical research to include ensuring the oversight of all aeromedical examiners who provide physicals for all FAA certified pilots. This experience will take you on a behind-the-scenes adventure showing some of what takes place each day from right here in Oklahoma City to maintain the safest mode of travel available.
