Youth Leadership Oklahoma Class VII

In 2007 forty-seven of the state’s top high school students were selected to travel across Oklahoma for this unique leadership experience. From June 3-8, 2007, the rising high school seniors heard from state leaders, witnessed first-hand Oklahoma’s tremendous resources, learned about and participated in the issues that affect the state and discovered Oklahoma’s many treasures.

The weeklong journey took them to Oklahoma City, Guthrie, Enid, Stillwater, Tinker Air Force Base, Purcell, Pauls Valley, Ada, Ardmore, Newcastle and Norman where they learned lessons about leadership, trust, problem solving, communication, cooperation but most importantly “Why Oklahoma is such a great place to live and work.”
